I'm actually going to make poi covers (wick condoms) out of duvetyne for my sister. She has some really cute fur ones, but she has to wait for them to completely cool...I read a recommendation from a pro that he made some from the duvetyne and they work great...
I'm also making some from furs and fun fabrics. I hope to have them posted within a week...stay tuned... -

Sat, December 31, 2005 - 10:34 AMi think you can get it at renegade juggling, which is sort of south bay (santa cruz). but you can mail order it right quick from various manufacturer's. I know bearclaw.mfg has it, i think luxotica.com does and i think flammaaeterna.com might. the first and last being continental us and luxotica being canadian, all the shipping should be reasonable.

Sun, January 1, 2006 - 2:52 AMalso, I've heard rumors that trade shows use a lot of duvetine and throw alot out as the show is taken down. so a little dumpster diving at the cow palace or convention center could be worth while... -

Tue, January 3, 2006 - 10:23 AMWell, I won't be doing any dumpster-diving in the near future (although the job market HAS been rough), but have found a ton of duvetyne and commando cloth online for less than $7.00 per yard.
The two best places are:

Please read the notes on the ShowMasters site about the differences in regional names for the product. Better to use the ounce weight as the descriptor to be sure you get what you want...
